The annual Glass Art Society conference is held in a different city every year. Every effort is made to choose cities with a focus on glass, a vibrant community, and with top-notch facilities.  We are interested in creative proposals that consider the GAS mission and accommodate all required conference events.

The Glass Art Society is dedicated to helping its members offset the negative effects brought about by a natural disaster, international pandemic, or other hardship.

If you are an independent artist, freelance glassworker, or small business who is going through a difficult time and whose livelihood has been impacted, you may be eligible for GAS Emergency Relief Funds. Applicants MUST be current GAS members and cannot be students, large businesses, institutions, or non-profit organizations. Applicants may not currently serve on the GAS Board of Directors, be the spouse/partner or immediate family member of a GAS, or serve on the board of any partner organization providing funding. Applicants must not have received GAS Emergency Relief Funds in the last six months. Please see our resources page for more assistance opportunities for everyone.

Examples of what a GAS Emergency Assistance Grant can help to cover include, but are not limited to: income loss, canceled orders, medical costs, shop closures, canceled events, or canceled teaching contracts.

Emergency Relief Fund applications are open to GAS members in any country, but all funds are distributed in US dollars.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and may close as needed depending on how many applications are received.
