The annual Glass Art Society conference is held in a different city every year. Every effort is made to choose cities with a focus on glass, a vibrant community, and with top-notch facilities. We are interested in creative proposals that consider the GAS mission and accommodate all required conference events.

Description: Announcing CONNECTION 2025: A juried exhibition showcasing the work of current GAS Members in conjunction with the Texas 2025 Glass Art Society Conference. All artwork will be submitted via online application, then juried for inclusion in the show and awards. The dates of the 2025 GAS Conference are May 14-17, 2025. Student Members of GAS can submit their artwork for the 2025 Student Exhibition HERE.

Awards: A jury of experts in the field will evaluate all entries and select winners. Awardees MUST be GAS Members through May 17, 2025.
Sales: GAS encourages the sale of artwork during the course of CONNECTION 2025. Artists may list work as "Not for Sale," otherwise, please include sales price excluding any shipping costs in application. GAS will take a 40% commission of sales for this exhibition. GAS will not be responsible for any shipping of sold work; buyer must pay and arrange for shipping of sold work.
Shipping: Shipping details will be provided to artists selected to participate in the exhibition. Artists will be responsible for shipping costs to/from the exhibition location.

Eligibility and Guidelines:
Artwork must feature glass as the primary element and will be selected on the basis of originality, craftsmanship, intentionality and the innovative use of glass. The call is open to artists working in any form of glassmaking or video works documenting glass-related performance pieces.
- Must be a current member of the Glass Art Society through May 17, 2025. Sign up for GAS Membership HERE.
- Artists may submit work individually OR as a group, but not both. Only one work of art may be submitted.
- Artwork must feature glass as the primary element or subject matter and will be selected on the basis of originality, craftsmanship, intentionality, and the creative use of glass.
- All submitted work must be original and have been completed within the last three (3) years. (2022, 2023, 2024)
- Image File Specifications: Format: JPEG, PNG, TIFF. Dimensions: 1200 pixels or higher on the shortest side. Resolution: 150 dpi or higher. Size: 25 MB maximum.

- Your artwork will be reviewed by a panel of jurors for consideration for awards.

Description: Announcing EVOLUTION 2025, a juried exhibition showcasing the works of current GAS Student Members as part of the Texas 2025 Glass Art Society Conference. Description: Announcing TRACE 2025: A juried open call Green Exhibition in conjunction with the Texas 2025 Glass Art Society Conference. TRACE will showcase work that comments on current global environmental issues as well as work that uses sustainable materials and/or processes. In alignment with this theme, we are committed to presenting all artwork digitally. All artwork will be submitted via online application then juried for inclusion in the virtual exhibition and awards. The exhibition will launch during the 2025 GAS Conference dates of May 14-17, 2025 and remain online for a period of no less than two months.
Application Fee: $10 USD.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Scholarships are available for students AND non-students.
- Scholarships are a benefit of GAS membership. Awardees must be GAS Members through May 17, 2025.
- You may not be a GAS Scholarship recipient in the last 3 years offered (recipients from 2024, 2023 and 2022 are not eligible).
- Scholarship recipients agree to provide an anonymous, short, detailed description about their conference experience for use by GAS in online and print media.
One application allows you to be considered for all scholarships, if eligible.
APPLICATION MATERIALS AND PROCESS
To help you prepare, you will be asked to submit the following within the application:
- Short essays - You will be asked to provide three (3) short essays of less than 500 words about why you wish to attend the Texas GAS Conference, how a scholarship will help you financially, and a personal statement about yourself. Please DO NOT include your name in any of these essays.
- Images of Work OR other supporting images - You do not have to be an artist to receive a scholarship but you will be asked to submit up to 5 images or videos of glass (yours or inspirational work) as a part of your application.
- If a student, you will be asked to provide your school name and a professor/teacher/mentor email.
