The Glass Art Society is dedicated to helping its members offset the negative effects brought about by the spread of and resulting quarantine situations of COVID-19.
If you are an independent artist, freelance glassworker, or small business that is experiencing the negative effects of this international disaster, please complete the application for a GAS Emergency Assistance Grant. Applicants MUST be current GAS members and cannot be students, large businesses, institutions, or non-profit organizations. Applicants may not currently serve on the GAS Board of Directors, be a GAS Board of Director's spouse, partner, or immediate family member, or serve on the boards of the partner organizations providing funding. Applicants must not have received GAS Emergency Relief funding in the last six months. Please see our resources page for more assistance opportunities for everyone.
Examples of what a GAS Emergency Assistance Grant can help to cover include, but are not limited too: income loss, canceled orders, medical costs, shop closures, canceled events, or canceled teaching contracts.
**Funds are currently available for GAS Members in Northern California and New York state.**
Funds are distributed in US dollars. Please check back later as regional and general funds may be available at a later date.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and may close as needed depending on how many applications are received.
