The Glass Art Society is dedicated to helping its members offset the negative effects brought about by the spread of and resulting quarantine situations of COVID-19.
If you are an independent artist, freelance glassworker, or small business that is experiencing the negative effects of this international disaster, please complete the application for a GAS Emergency Assistance Grant. Applicants MUST be current GAS members and cannot be students, large businesses, institutions, or non-profit organizations. Applicants may not currently serve on the GAS Board of Directors or be a GAS Board of Director's spouse, partner, or immediate family member. Examples of what a GAS Emergency Assistance Grant can help to cover include, but are not limited too: income loss, canceled orders, medical costs, shop closures, canceled events, or canceled teaching contracts.
Funds are distributed as $500 grants in US dollars.
Funds are currently available for qualified applicants in the US state of New York ONLY at this time.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and may close as needed depending on how many applications are received.
